Counseling for Individuals – Adults
I provide insight oriented talk therapy to help clients gain self-understanding in relationship to the truth of the Bible. This approach includes visiting past emotional wounds and false beliefs that steal present day vitality. I apply truth to these false beliefs resulting in more peace in the present and more hope for the future. Talking through hurts brings healing. Emotional pain is a heavy burden that can be lifted over time. Some burdens are permanently lifted, while others are patiently borne through intimate relationships with God and others. Counseling facilitates both outcomes.
Counseling for Introverts
I help introverts find their true God-given identity. Introverted clients are wired differently than 75% of the world’s population. They are often misunderstood. Matt Pavlik, founder of New Reflections Counseling, is an introvert who has studied and understands the unique needs of introverts. Because introverts are a minority, they often are starved to feel understood. They may be especially gifted, sensitive, and acquainted with feeling lonely. But introverted or extroverted, God made everyone with a unique purpose. Every person is a one of a kind work of art.
Spiritual Formation Counseling
I provide experiential prayer-focused counseling to help clients develop their relationship with Jesus. Formational Counseling is healing care which integrates Christian Counseling, Spiritual Direction, and Healing Prayer. Together, through formational counseling we will:
1. Cooperate with the Holy Spirit’s direction to provide the care you need
2. Position you to experience the truth about yourself in relation to Jesus
3. Increase your awareness of your brokenness so you can experience healing
4. Facilitate your deepening relationship with Jesus Christ
Counseling for Couples – Marriages and Relationships
I provide counseling for those experiencing a breakdown in their relationship. The breakdown is a painful result of a negative cycle. The cycle usually starts well before the couple met. Everyone has some sort of emotional baggage. Untreated, this emotional baggage results in defensiveness, guardedness, withdrawal, verbal attacks, etc. Motivation for changing one’s self is crucial to the success of marriage. The person who feels the pain is the person who is ready for help. This person can set appropriate boundaries in the relationship.
Counseling for Families
I provide family system counseling to improve adult–adult and parent–child relationships. I focus on communication, understanding, and boundaries between family relationships. God made each nuclear family to have its own unique, self-governing identity.

I help clients recover from: Abuse, Neglect, Trauma, PTSD, Complex PTSD, Anxiety, Panic, Dissociation, Poor Self-Esteem, Codependency, Addictions, Pornography, Infidelity, Distance from God, Loneliness, Depression, Loss
