Qualifications, Certifications and Affiliations
Nancy
has a private psychotherapy practice in London, Ontario She is certified with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She received her Honors BA in Childhood and Family Relations from the University of Western Ontario (UWO) her MEd. Counselling Psychology from UWO, and her Ph.D. in Psychology/Social Work from California State Christian University. She has a certificate in Grief and Bereavement from UWO and many other various certifications in couple and trauma work.
She also completed the AAMFT Internship Program in Marriage and Family Therapy (2 years) at Family Service Thames Valley
Nancy
is certified with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and is a Diplomate, Certified Psychotherapist and Counsellor with the Evangelical Association of Certified Pastoral Counsellors. She is a certified Marriage Counsellor, Pastoral Counsellor, Trauma Counsellor and Vicarious Trauma Counsellor. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists. Nancy also works closely with and is on the referral list for Focus on the Family and Families Canada.
Outlook and Philosophy
Nancy
is skilled at working with individuals, couples and families, who present with a variety of struggles and issues. She has extensive experience working with couples experiencing conflict or those couples wanting to enrich their relationship and create a loving environment for their families. Her work with individual men and women revolves around helping them to move towards well-being and balance - emotionally, spiritually and psychologically and to help them acknowledge and celebrate their strengths.
Personal
Nancy
has been married to her high school sweetheart for 37 years. Her three grown children and 6 grandchildren are an important part of her life and activities. She is an avid gardener and enjoys hiking in the woods with her dog.
