Primary therapeutic approaches:

As a registered psychologist I like to use a collaborative approach in order to meet your goals of therapy. I draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches, trainings, and life experiences. Some of the approaches that I use include:

    -Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
The most widely researched and accepted therapy. Therapy may include relaxation skills, thought stopping and thought challenging strategies, appropriate goal setting and scheduling, self-esteem building exercises, and assertiveness skills
    -Clinical Hypnosis
A method of uncovering creative solutions in a relaxed yet focussed manner
    -Gottman Marital Therapy
A popular and widely researched therapy for couples
    -Sensorimotor Psychotherapy  and  EMDR
Two particularly useful therapeutic approaches to help with trauma
    -Solution Focused Therapy
Exploring and amplifying your inner strengths and resources
    -Mindfulness / Hakomi
Inner awareness of thoughts, emotions, sensations, memories, and urges in a detached manner in order to gain greater insight
    -Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Awareness of unhelpful thinking patterns, defusing unhelpful thoughts, and focusing on meaningful goals in life

I have a series of professionally produced relaxation tracks and brainwave entrainment products
I also conduct a number of free one-hour presentations available on Youtube
