Do feelings of failure ride shotgun in your life?Do you wish you had more purpose?Do you wish you could change? Do you wish your relationship was more fulfilling?Do you want to be a better father?
If you answered yes to any of these questions then I can help.
I have over a decade of experience helping individuals to create meaningful change. My personal journey of healing from abandonment, early childhood trauma and the loss of a child enables me to create an understanding, supportive and deeply empathetic space for individuals to move towards a healthier future.  With over 20 years experience in a committed relationship, I have experienced the joys and struggles of this journey. I believe that being an emotionally present and engaged father and husband is my most important contribution to the world.
My Specializations include:
  • Men's Issues
  • Trauma
  • Life direction and purpose
  • Chronic illness
  • Fatherhood

In addition I also work with clients dealing with:
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Relationship issues
  • Addictions
  • Infertility

What makes me unique?
I bring a unique approach to counselling due to my working professionally for 20 years in various industries including being a business executive, leadership consultant  and now as a therapist. I also spent a number of years training as a First Responder and volunteering with the Vancouver City Police. I find that my range of experiences allows me to connect with my clients on a deep and authentic level for which my clients consistently comment how much they appreciate that I come from a broad background and can 'get' them.
My Approach:
I am influenced by the change theories that allow a client to examine his / her life and take the steps necessary to create meaningful change. I use the skills as a coach, consultant and therapist to actively help my clients move through the process. I am an integrative therapist and am informed by AEDP, Narrative and Strengths based theories of psychology. My work is shaped by the research and training in attachment and trauma with Dr. Gordon Neufeld, Dr. Dan Siegel and Dr. Diane Fosha. My approach is influenced by the work of Dr. Brene Brown with regard to shame, vulnerability and moving towards feeling worthy.
