My personal approach is always based on your needs and desires using empathetic and compassionate listening
in order to help you make constructive, positive changes in your life.
Counselling face to face is offered in Vancouver, for anywhere else I offer counseling by phone or video (Skype or VSee).
If you suffer from depression or/and anxiety, we can work together to help you understand how past life experiences influence you today, and find new ways of coping with these difficult and overwhelming emotions and situations. My approach is eclectic including mindfulness cognitive therapy and psychodynamics. Cognitive therapy can help you.discover and identify personal destructive thought patterns and deal with disturbing emotions.
For example many people are unaware that their repressed anger can often lead to anxiety or depression. Other people rather than focusing on and appreciating their own self worth, stress over who they think 'should be', over unrealistic expectations.
I work with people going through difficult personal experience, a divorce, conflict at work, retirement, etc. to help them deal with the present situation and find ways to move forward.
Mindfulness exercises and art-based techniques are also offered. They are effective means for anxiety and depression as well as in problem solving.
After 20 years of counseling people face to face, I have created a TELEPHONE/VIDEO COUNSELING service for all North America in English or French.
Telephone/video counseling offers clients many advantages as far as geography, time and cost, making it more accessible in today's busy world. You can talk when the children are asleep, from your office or home when your schedule is too hectic, and even when traveling. It also allows for a degree of anonymity that is often comforting when speaking of difficult problems.
Please email me to arrange a time to talk about how counseling can help you at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
. I offer a 15 minute free consultation by phone or video.
