  Biography

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and founder of the Integrated Care Clinic, an outpatient specialty mental health office that provides comprehensive psychology, psychiatry, and nutrition services to clients of all ages. I specialize in utilizing evidence-based therapeutic services in individual and family therapy for youth and adults. I earned my Ph.D. in in Educational Psychology with a minor in Pediatric Psychology and completed my residency in Clinical Child Psychology at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.

My private practice focuses on treating depression, anxiety, and a variety of eating disorders.  I support my clients by helping reduce and eliminate anxiety attacks and pervasive worry, negative body-image or self-esteem problems, picky eating or OCD-like behaviors, self-harm or depressive/suicidal thoughts, or other related difficulties and behaviors.  I also see clients who have co-occurring mental health and substance abuse/addiction issues.

I specialize in working with clients who struggle with anxiety and/or depression, two of the most common mental illnesses and also the most treatable! Many who struggle with depression or anxiety initially developed it as a child or adolescent - so I will work with you to understand your triggers and effectively implement neuro-cognitive and behavioral changes to support true and lasting change.

With regard to eating disorders, specialize in treating a wide variety including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, ARFID, orthorexia, and those that overlap with significant "picky eating" or OCD-like food behaviors. I focus my treatment on utilizing the most effective and up-to-date therapeutic techniques. I am an advocate of supporting recovery from the least restrictive environment (e.g. remaining home vs. treatment center) so my clients can maintain their daily routine such as going to work or school. I am also one of a few providers in Florida with advanced training in Family Based Treatment for Eating Disorders (FBT), (AKA Maudsley Approach). I am passionate about treating eating disorders and body image concerns and believe in body-positivity and the development of self-compassion as a tool for recovery. I also work closely with a registered dietitian for meal planning and nutrition support.

As a licensed psychologist I am currently accepting new clients. If you are interested in working with me, our first step will be to connect by phone for a complementary 15 minute initial consultation to clarify your goals and assess the therapeutic fit. At this time I do not accept insurance, however you may be able to file for out-of-network benefit reimbursement with your insurance company to help offset the cost of treatment.  If you area prepared to make an investment in changing your life for the better please give me a call, I look forward to speaking with you.
