Susan completed her Masters studies in psychology at the University of Houston-Victoria, Victoria, TX. She is recently widowed following a marriage of 36 years and has a son, now serving in the Army Signal Corps (yep, he's a tekkie!).
Working with families and children began with at an emergency placement shelter for children removed by the state authority for abuse and neglect. This led to work in the local high school, where she began her specialization in trauma and loss, followed by completion of her counseling internship. Continued work with children led her to become a registered play therapist. She specializes as a trauma and loss consultant.
Susan maintains an independent private practice. Susan has also completed a second Masters in Christian Ministries.
