Hello, my name is Susan K Steffey and I am a licensed clinical professional counselor with 25 years post masters and 9 years post licensure experience in mental health. Too me, mental health work is a labor of love. I enjoy collaborating with someone to help them achieve wholeness again. I believe that human beings have an innate desire to achieve health and happiness, and it is my privelege to help guide them forward..Over the years I have learned many techniques to foster this growth.
I have experience with almost all clinical populations with a focus on trauma, grief work and post abuse issues for men, women and children., as well as formal training. Trainings include domestic violence, rape, sexual and substance abuse as well as crisis intervention..I have worked with young children and teens in foster care,on such things as reactive attachment disorder, depression.and abandonment issues. .I have been trained in EMDR a cutting edge therapy to work with such disorders as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and I have use it successfully on combat vets, sexual and other types of abuse such as crime victimization.It can help resolve pain and trauma in a relatively short period of time.
