I am a graduate of Simon Fraser University with an Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology. I also have extensive course work in psychoeducational testing from the University of British Columbia. I have worked as a counsellor at the Maples Adolescent Treatment Center and with the Coquitlam School Board as a school counsellor for the past 12 years. I am a member of the District Critical Incidents Team and have specialized coursework in trauma. I am presently being certified to conduct EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) training. While I have experience working with families, parents, and children my specialty is working with children and adolescents.
I have been married for 20 years and have 4 adolescent children. I live in the Maple Ridge area and have my private practice out of Maple Ridge near Alexander Robinson Elementary School.
