Thomas Wright, a licensed marriage and
family therapist, has been a faculty member of the Adler Graduates School of
Minnesota since it was founded as the Alfred Adler Institute of Minnesota in
1968.
Tom is a Minnesota approved clinical supervisor and a Clinical member of
the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. He has served on the
board of the Minnesota Chapter of the American Association for Marriage and
Family Therapy.
Tom and his wife Judy share a private counseling practice in
Golden Valley, Minnesota. As a team, Tom and Judy have lectured, taught and
conducted seminars and workshops in the Midwest and Canada.
Tom wrote a weekly newspaper column for many years called
The Wright Way. Materials from these columns were later turned into two books,
Questions and Answers on Marriage and Will My Child Grow Up Okay? He has
written two other books, Daily Meditations for Parenting Our Kids and Raising
Children One Day at a Time!
Tom has taught continuing education workshops for mental
health professionals on such topics as shame, codependency, coping with
conflict, blended families, counseling techniques, stress management and
burnout, Narrative Therapy and Early Recollections, and most recently, dealing
with the spiritual dimension in psychotherapy.
