About Me


I became a psychologist after realizing I had already been counselling family, friends, and coworkers for the majority of my adult life. People were naturally drawn to me to talk about their struggles as I provided wise counsel, intuition, empathy, an easy approachable manner, and innate listening skills.  As a past administrator with 20+ years of experience, I gained direct insight into people’s beliefs of self, how they interacted in the world, what they were struggling with, and what was holding them back from being authentic.

 

I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists.  I have a Master of Counselling Psychology degree from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, CA.  I am a Certified Hakomi Therapist and a Certified Embodied Awareness Therapist; both incorporating a mindfulness-based approach focusing on mind-body-spirit connection.  I employ EMDR, existential-humanistic therapy, transpersonal therapy, feminist therapy, and trauma-informed therapy.

 

I understand how difficult it can be to seek out help when life’s struggles feel overwhelming.  I provide an empathic, compassionate, loving presence that will guide you in your journey of self-exploration.  Through the incorporation of mindfulness, and building a safe therapeutic container, you will safely manage whatever needs arise from the inside out.  I am passionate about helping you gain empowerment and the ability to express your true self through the following ways:
