struggled with low self-esteem, low self-confidence, anger, and body image
issues growing up I sought personal growth and spiritual development through
Eastern philosophies, ancient and indigenous teachings, and other metaphysical and
energetic teachings. I decided to become
a psychologist after recognizing I had already been counselling family,
friends, and coworkers for the majority of my adult life. People were naturally drawn to me to talk
about their struggles as I provided wisdom, intuition, empathy, an easy
approachable manner, compassion, and nonjudgment. As a past administrator with 20+ years of
experience, I gained direct insight into people’s beliefs of self, how they
interacted in the world, what they were struggling with, and what was holding
I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of
Alberta Psychologists. I have a Master
of Counselling Psychology degree from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology
in Palo Alto, CA. I am a Certified
Hakomi Therapist and a Certified Embodied Awareness Therapist; both incorporating
a mindfulness-based approach focusing on mind-body-spirit connection. I employ EMDR, existential-humanistic, transpersonal,
feminist, somatic, and trauma-informed therapies.
I understand how difficult it can be to seek out
help when life’s struggles feel overwhelming.
I provide an empathic,
compassionate, nonjudgmental, loving presence that will guide you in your
journey of healing and self-exploration.
Through the incorporation of mindfulness practices, and deeper insight
into recognizing your own strengths, you will learn to manage whatever issues arise. I am passionate about helping you gain
empowerment and the ability to express your true self.
