About Me

I became a psychologist after realizing I had already been counselling family, friends, and coworkers for the majority of my adult life. People were naturally drawn to me to talk about their struggles as I provided wise counsel, intuition, empathy, an easy approachable manner, and innate listening skills.  As a past administrator with 20+ years of experience, I gained direct insight into people’s beliefs of self, how they interacted in the world, what they were struggling with, and what was holding them back from being authentic.

I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists.  I have a Master of Counselling Psychology degree from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, CA.  I am a Certified Hakomi Therapist and a Certified Embodied Awareness Therapist; both incorporating a mindfulness-based approach focusing on mind-body-spirit connection.  I employ EMDR, existential-humanistic therapy, transpersonal therapy, feminist therapy, and trauma-informed therapy.

I understand how difficult it can be to seek out help when life’s struggles feel overwhelming.  I provide an empathic, compassionate, loving presence that will guide you in your journey of self-exploration.  Through the incorporation of mindfulness, and building a safe therapeutic container, you will safely manage whatever needs arise from the inside out.  I am passionate about helping you gain empowerment and the ability to express your true self through the following ways:

Learn To Express Your Authentic Self

Be More Present: You will become more fully available and present in the moment, which will free you from worry and obsession about past events and future expectations.

Be More Authentic: You will become more fully centered and grounded; accept and love yourself for who you are and not what others want you to be; freely speak your truth; and present your authentic self at all times.

Connect: You will connect to your inner self and your higher Self (Spirit, Universal Energy, Source, the Divine, Creator, God) for guidance and support.

Have Aha Moments: You will gain clarity and tap into your intuition and inner wisdom to reveal insights into your current behavior as a means to greater self-discovery, self-acceptance, and self-love.

Know What You Really WantYou will unblock resistances that you hold in your body to help you bring greater focus toward your purpose, goals, and aspirations in all areas of your life: relationships, family, health, education, career, etc.

Be More Joyful: You will feel more at ease in your mind, body, and spirit; stressful situations will not feel as daunting; and you will feel a greater heart-opening and emergence of joy in your life.

Take Risks: You will release blockages (fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of success, fear of stepping into your power) that hold you back from moving forward into the life you were meant to live.

Have Healthy Relationships: You will open yourself to receive love; give love fully and unconditionally; and set appropriate boundaries to create healthy relationships with your partner, family members, friends, and coworkers.

Find Balance: You will find balance in the emotional, physical, mental, spiritual, and creative areas of your life to support your well-being and ability to function in this world.
