Life will always present difficult challenges to creative and loving people who are determined to make the most of this gift.


I have been a pastoral counselor since 1989 when I completed my doctoral work in the psychology of religion.  Since that I time I have served on the staffs of two churches, directed a counselor center, and served as a supervisor and consultant to a few agencies.  I have been in private practice in Waco since 2004, and participate in the ministry of DaySpring Baptist Church.

Although my own religious tradition is that of protestant Christianity, I have a deep respect for the wisdom of all the great faiths.  I have no desire to promote my own tradition, but seek to help individuals draw on their own spiritual resources as they deal with the universal issues of forgiveness, reconciliation, grace, and change.

I am married to Holly Eades, a former 5th grade teacher who is now enjoying a second career as a registered nurse.  She is currently the nurse at Waco High School, where she takes care of her 2000 "kids." We have three children, Abigail, Benjamin, and Olivia.
