Paula Cherry, MA, LPC, LCAS

Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Addiction

6809 Fairview Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28210

Addiction can be very destructive for individuals and families, children and adults. It knows no demographic boundaries and therefore anyone is at risk. It is my professional opinion that individuals who struggle with addiction should not be expected to change any differently than those individuals struggling with any other issue. That is, change is a process and doesn't come overnight. Therefore providing a non-judgmental, non-confrontational, and non-adversarial therapeutic environment is paramount to achieving stated goals since shame and guilt play a key role in the cycle of addiction. Clients should be held accountable for their actions, however not shamed by their clinician.

Blake Clemmons, MA, LPCA

Licensed Professional Counselor Associate

My aim as an addictions counselor is to offer a compassionate and non judgmental environment where my clients feel free to learn and grow and experience healing. My perspective is to provide those struggling with addictions effective coping tools and skills and instill hope that will help them eliminate their addiction, improve their relationships and live in the freedom of long term sobriety. These skills include distraction, self soothing, understanding triggers to use, creating an action plan, increasing ones support group, and challenging the negative core permissive beliefs that allow the addiction to continue.
