Our goal is to work with clients to find other alternatives opposed to ignoring the need or the function that the addictive behaviors may have in supporting the client to feel more or less in their current situations. I’m a Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC) with a master’s degree in addictions counseling. I've also been sober from my own drug and alcohol use since 2011. As your counselor, I’ll lean on my educational background, professional training, and personal life experience to be of service to you. Whether you strive for sobriety, aim to moderate, or use drugs or alcohol to cope with other struggles.

During my training, I was involved in dealing with all kinds of addictions in an in-patient setting. I have also directed an intensive out-patient program for substance abuse and, since 1985, have run a recovery program for men struggling with sex addiction and or infidelity. The program has been very successful by any measure. The men who remain in the group and gain a year of sobriety have done very well and many of them continue to return annually for an update and their next years' chip. The first 90 days are rather intense, with a combination of 1:1, Group and Couples counseling. Both the offender and spouse need help. It is much better if both parties receive help.

As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, I will work closely with you to develop a personalized treatment to treat your addiction. Addiction is a complex interaction of mind, body, and environment and I often integrate multiple components into treatment, including counseling and lifestyle management. I also help individuals struggling with gambling, sex and food addiction. The goal of treatment is to assist you in identifying the root causes of your addiction, to develop the necessary skills to cope with emotional difficulties, and to facilitate personal growth. Together, we will attempt to help you through your addiction and get you back to the life you’ve been wanting to live.
