I have experience treating anger problems in group and individual formats using relaxation/awareness training as well as cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients learn more effective ways of expressing and managing angry feelings. Anger itself is a normal and often healthy response to a triggering situation however often times anger is demonized as a "bad" or "dangerous" emotion.

As a school based counselor and in a mental health setting I have taught various anger management and relaxation groups/ techniques. Assisting clients with cognitive behavioral restructuring and dialectical behavioral therapy individuals develop effective ways of managing anger. Through enhancing effective communication skills and emotion regulation techniques clients are able to have healthy and happy relationships. I am currently organizing a healthy coping skills/ anger management group for children ages 6 yrs of age through 10.
