Contrary to popular belief, anger, its self, is not a "bad" thing. Anger is simply one of the many emotions we may experience periodically. However, anger becomes a problem when it is expressed in a negative, unhealthy way. Our goal in anger management is to create a plan for communicating this emotion that won't damage important relationships, get you fired, or leave you with regret. Call me today to get started with individual or group sessions.

Anger can be a useful tool to us as it informs us that something we have experienced is wrong or unjust. It becomes an obstacle to healthy relationships and daily functioning, however, when our anger becomes uncontrollable and seemingly unconnected to any one specific threat. Clients will benefit from an approach to anger management that is compassionate and strengths-based, equipping clients with tools to ride out their anger while also examining the function of a client's anger within a larger interpersonal framework.
