Anger results from perceiving a threat or from disappointed expectations. It is a completely normal, and usually healthy, human emotion. If anger gets out of control and turns destructive, it can lead to significant problems—problems at work, in your personal relationships, and in the overall quality of your life. In counseling we will look at the behaviors of your anger (or even perhaps the anger to which you are a victim). We will also explore the triggers of anger episodes and past life issues that may fuel the anger. The next step is to learn tools to escape the deep urges to rage, fight or run. These tools allow you to think and solve problems - not fight or run.
