Anger is an instinctive universal emotion, one in which we all have, but not all expressions of anger have to be hurt. In fact, anger works as a great informant and can motivate us to take action to improve our own lives and the lives of people that we care about.

Different people have different problems with anger. The most common is when angry behaviour hurts others, damages relationships, and threatens work. However, others feel it but are afraid to express it, and others are so good at suppressing it they insist they never feel. Whichever problem you have, anger is a healthy protective emotion that can improve relationships if expressed effectively. Anger is there to warn you about a threat and give you the energy to deal with it. It is an important tool in setting boundaries and being assertive. I can help you explore your anger and what is causing it, then learn to express it so others will be open to your concerns.
