I like working with the body/mind connection in regards to anxiety and stress. I start off with progressive relaxation in the first few session and include homework, then move onto deeper level hypnotherapy sessions exploring not only the cause of the anxiety but including positive conditioning suggestion as well. There are also energy healing options as well.

These days who does not experience stress? You may be surprised to know that even happy events such as getting married or the birth of a child creates stress. One could say, "If there is change, there is stress." How you handle the stress in your life dictates the impact stress will have on you both mentally and physically. I provide a number of options for working through stress which include relaxation, meditation, and bio-feedback techniques. Anxiety accompanies stress and can be address using the same techniques. When we are anxious we tend to see things as worse than they are. Anxiety can be greatly reduced by "looking at it from a different perspective." Let's talk.

Anxiety and stress are symptoms or reactions which can be understood, accepted, and modified through counseling, meditation, hypnosis, and guided relaxation as you begin to sort out and identify the source of your anxiety and stress, and find ways to cope, or actually make the changes that are required but difficult to make due to many variables such as fear of change itself.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which is an evidence based therapeutic approach that is particularly helpful in the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy teaches you how to evaluate healthy worry and unhealthy anxiety, and how to monitor that anxiety including what triggers it. Breathing exercises along with relaxation techniques are also used to reduce feelings of heightened anxiety and stress. Through Cognitive Behavior Therapy, you learn to how to challenge faulty thinking that contribute to generalized anxiety disorder, and how to reframe those thoughts so you can deal with your anxieties that you are facing.

People who suffer from anxiety and panic are not crazy, but they often feel like they are going crazy. They are often told that they are just "too sensitive" and that they worry to much. Judgments don't help, but treatment does. I use cognitive-behavioral and other therapeutic approaches to help my clients achieve relief from debilitating anxiety.

Anxiety and panic can be paralyzing, even leading to depression and despair. I help clients discuss their thoughts and emotions when experiencing anxiety and identify triggers that provoke it. I teach skills to comfort oneself in the face of anxiety, and examine and change negative thoughts that contribute to anxiety and panic. I help clients develop and use support systems and increase their self-esteem. By doing these things my clients have reduced their level of anxiety and been better able to cope with daily stressors.
