Adolescents is a time to set goals for the future. As a middle and high school counselor, I have taught college and career lessons, led parent informational nights, facilitated family meetings, and provided one-on-one counseling. As your teen's therapist, I will help them to identify their strengths, skills, and interests. From there, we will explore careers and possible majors or paths to that career. Once that is known, we will research the programs or colleges that will get your teen where they want to be. The process can be stressful, but also exciting! I will be there every step of the way. Together, we can help your teen achieve their post-secondary goals!

While most career counselors love to give you capacity based profiles of what your talents and interests are for your best bet career choices, Grey Matters international believes that most people make predictably irrational decisions and then after making them learn way to make them fit into their identities using various types of rationalizations and strategies. We are able to assist folks in career counseling type settings by giving a deeper look at their decision making profile so they can better understand where the core frustration or desire is coming from in the world of work. Deciding on a career is scary and challenging. I provide a safe space for clients to find career path that resonates with them most and seek the best route to reach their goals. Usually if there are mental blocks along the way, we will work on self esteem, past trauma and negative thinking patterns so the client can make the best decision while learning about themselves.

My philosophy of therapy and change is that change comes from within. As a therapist, I ask a great deal in asking an individual to change, as change is an incredibly difficult task for everyone. The journey of change requires both the client and myself to work collaboratively throughout this journey. It is for this reason that the rapport between the client and myself is critical. I aim to provide all my clients with the space to explore their underlying feelings, thoughts, and behaviors so that they can engage in change.

I work with many high school and college students to help develop and refine their academic and career goals and achieve them. For those in the corporate world, I assist with stress management and the setting and attainment of short and long term goals. I work with teachers and school administrators on managing the very stressful demands of their work environment while looking ahead to career choices as their jobs and responsibilities evolve in their rapidly changing work milieu . I also work with individuals with developmental disabilies to help them develop confidence and define options in the workplace uniquely suited to their abilities.
