My work background before becoming a professional counselor was in the Staffing Industry, where I worked for many years as a Recruiter and helped find job openings for staffing companies as a sales manager as well. I have 25 years of experience in recruiting and sales in the marketplace, and have substantial experience teaching people how to conduct a full-scale job search, interviewing techniques, and how to implement and execute well thought-out and planned career transition strategies. I can prepare excellent resumes, cover letters and teach you keys to landing that plum job you want by enacting strategies and techniques that only a handful of people use.

I am passionate about helping people feel fulfilled and purposeful in life and their careers. I specifically enjoy helping people discover their unique strengths and wire up. Together we use problem solving to explore and opportunities professionally. I use various assessments to help in this discovery process and partner with the client on viable and fulfilling options in their career.

It is hard feeling like you are stuck in a career or like you do not know what to do career-wise. Sometimes, imposter syndrome gets the best of us and thus leads us to self-sabotage. Then, we find ourselves experiencing missed opportunities, regret, angst, and pain. We often ask challenging questions in therapy, so that you can explore and determine whether you want to stay, leave, or grow where you are at (or somewhere else). We explore your potential together and imagine what a healthier situation may look like to you.

I specialize in helping gifted, talented, and/or highly sensitive adults with the unique challenges they face. This often includes issues around career, work environment, and the difficulty of choosing one specialty when multi-talented. I provide support and strategies for the individual who is outside the norms of general society and needs to design a work-life that most enjoyably and effectively uses their talents.

While most career counselors love to give you capacity based profiles of what your talents and interests are for your best bet career choices, Grey Matters international believes that most people make predictably irrational decisions and then after making them learn way to make them fit into their identities using various types of rationalizations and strategies.
