Sometimes in life we are uncertain with the academic direction we want to go in. Sometimes we are looking for what career we would like to be in after graduating or looking for a career change. Career counselling affords the opportunity to explore the association between one’s personality and the best suited academic and/or career choices. It is easy to be uncertain, confused and hesitant about what works both realistically and practically. Career counselling focuses on the individuals’ needs and wants.

To incorporate an SFBT approach to help clients identify their own resiliency from a strength based perspective. To use positive psychology language and focus on solution when clients may be wanting to explore other careers or feel stuck in their current one. To assist clients remember and identify past adversities and their history of overcoming situational challenges.

Career counselling can be equated with understanding ourselves. Sometimes we are looking for financial success or a new routine. While we work together in therapy we explore your values and what matters to you. My clients shift in their understanding of the importance of career in their life, beginning to understand that what they move into for career has always been about what they feel passion for.

Career Counselling is very close to my heart because I personally spent a lot of years developing skills to leverage myself forward.
