I specialize in working with preteens and teens in order to help them cope with the large variety of challenges that face today's youth. Whether it be lack of self esteem, relocation to a new school, home and family problems or just general anxiety and depression. Eating disorders, self harm and substance abuse are prevalent among today's youth, and some early intervention can help counteract these negative influences.

Clinical Psychologist and Psychoanalyst

I am not a licensed child psycholgist but within the limits of my licensure for adults and adolescents, I will see a young child ALONG WITH A PARENT, if the child can verbalize his or her concerns and if I feel that in an intervention or two I can help smoothe out parenting difficulties. Children are People too and they can often get things off their chests that they need their parents to know with the help of a trained therapist to "translate" and to "intervene." But I do not do longterm child therapy.

Young children are often overlooked as an age group that suffer from stress. Hearing adults discuss trouble at work or in the world, older sibling issues or a special needs child in the family who takes up so much their parents time, death of a grandparent or parent, illness, school bulling, parents arguing over stress or worse, stonewalling each other and not talking at all. We have caring licensed counselors who are here to help your children feel more confident and secure about themselves.
