Children act out on how they feel; if they are having behavioral issues, it is usually because there is something off-kilter with them, or with their situation. If you are able to identify the cause, many times the behavior will significantly subside. Thus, it pays to explore, with the child, what they are experiencing and what might be causing them to feel stressed.

Family coaching is very popular. More and more parents whose child is being bullied in school or in the neighborhood. Many times, their child has difficulty expressing his or her feelings and will begin to manifest somatic complaints such as stomachaches, headaches, school refusal, and/or acting out in school. Youth Connection is an intensive program for those individuals who suffer from addiction, but are also faced with the challenges of young adulthood. Teenagers and young adults, 18 – 25 years of age, who suffer from drug or alcohol addiction often find themselves dealing with additional pressures. They may have trouble with their workload at school, associate with delinquent peers, suffer from a lack parental supervision, or just generally exhibit feelings of inadequacy, poor self-image, or even depression. They have not learned the necessary skills that would otherwise enable them to cope with everyday life situations.
