David Palmiter, Ph.D., ABPP

Clinical Psychcologist

Waverly, Pennsylvania 18471

Understanding and helping kids, parents and families is an area of specialization for me. Actually, I've written two books and multiple articles on this topic, taken a leadership role in developing mental health evaluation standards for kids in the state, given hundreds of workshops on doing this sort of work and do ongoing public education on kid and parenting topics (e.g., a blog at and a weekly live parenting spot on WBRE-TV's PALive). Should you bring your child to me I promise to treat him or her as I would want one of my own kids treated and to be tireless in my efforts to understand, heal and advance the wellness of your child.

David Gallick, MSW, LSW, LMFT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

480 Pierce Street, Suite 300, Kingston, Pennsylvania 18704

As a Licensed Family Therapist, I realize that children face a variety of issues in their young lives which affect them. Divorce, loss, stress at home, fear, etc. often cause children to act our or misbehave. When children are in pain, they do the only thing they know how to do; lash out, act out, or get sad and depressed. Children don't have the capacity to understand their feelings and don't have the language to describe how they are feeling. In therapy with children, through art and play therapy, I help them and their parent/s to express feelings in a creative and safe way. Many times, working alone with the parents, I help them develop strategies for helping their child.

John Kuna, Psy.D.

Licensed Psychologist

189 Market Street, Kingston, Pennsylvania 18704

Similar to adult therapy, our therapy for young children is individually based. Our staff is specifically trained and certified for several forms of child therapy including play and art therapy techniques. Our relaxed and comfortable approach focuses on the child's strengths. This approach may often have the added benefit of increased self esteem in children, due to their increased self-awareness.

Theressa McMorris, MS, LMFT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

208 N. Meadow St., Ithaca, New York 14850

When children are hurting, they need someone who can speak their language. At all different developmental levels, children come with a unique way to express themselves that is unlike adults. They need to be met where they are at and cared for. Harvest House loves working with children. They have a voice and we would like to listen.
