I work with children from elementary age and up by building on their strengths, consulting with parents to help integrate the best structure into their lives, helping them expand their ways of expression through play, using expressive therapies and advocating for them when needed in the schools. I provide them with opportunities to practice the skills I build with them in our therapy sessions. I use cognitive behavioral strategies, expressive therapies and body work to engage with them and build opportunities to learn new skills.

Children are referred by either Parents, School, Department of children and Family Services, Doctors and the court. first I have to find out why the child has been referred to my private practice. Gather the history the fist session. Some children can seat and talk to therapist other I use play therapy to stimulate conversation. In the course of sessions I also use behavioral modification which will match with the behavioral modification at home with the child's parents.
