I find that I am most successful in working with children when I am able to gain trust and rapport with their parents. My personal belief is that there is no one more expert about a child than his mother or father. I also believe that the mother or father is typically the person with the greatest therapeutic capability with that child. I see my role as working with the child in collaboration with the parent.
