My doctoral dissertation involved Redecision Therapy. In this model the child ego state is where most therapeutic treatment is done. Children are not just small adults. Children can be both fragile and resilient. For children under the age of 6, I recommend play therapy, however I do not practice this mode of counseling. I teach the diagnosing of children in a graduate course I have taught about 8 semesters. Diagnoses is just a starting point however. I specialize in providing quality AD/HD testing for children, adolescents and adults. My evaluation consists of three sessions and is priced at $250 total. The parents complete a comprehensive history form, give the child's teachers rating forms to complete and then the IVA Continuous Performance Test which is an objective measure of AD/HD functioning. Each client/parent receives a 9-11 page evaluation report that can be taken to a treating Physician or other treating professional. I am also aware of other treatment approaches such as neurofeedback which is a brain wave treatment approach to treat AD/HD symptoms. I have been doing these evaluations for twenty years.
