Family dynamics and other environmental influences play a significant role in shaping a child's perspective of how they look at life. The most significant brain development of a person occurs in the first 6 years of life. We provide a temperament profile that shows how these various influences in the early stages of brain development affect a child's behavior. It also gives information as to how a child may react or respond to certain situations.

I work with children ages 10-17 in labeling feelings and emotions as well as learning how to work through behavioral issues such as: anxiety, anger, bullying, depression, or the loss experienced during a divorce/separation. Children need a way to express what they are thinking and feeling, to help them normalize what is happening in their world, and learning how to deal effectively with changes in their environment. Counseling with children is different - this includes play therapy...and activities to help them express themselves. Parents need to be involved!
