I offer Play-Family Therapy for children from 3 - 12. The therapy starts each session with 20 minutes of family time to discuss both strengths and difficulties the child or family is having. The child then spends 30 minutes in the imaginative realm of play therapy, where the metaphors of his play mirror the life hurts and challenges of his/her everyday life. Children often choose the sand tray, with its many figures which are symbols for the elements of their inner experience. But the play room is also full of other toys that allow play themes to unfold. I create a safe space for the child to understand and express his/her experience and provide parenting support at family meetings.
