New Directions Counseling, 150 S. Washington St Suite 303, Falls Church, VA, Falls Church, Virginia 22046
As a Christian Counselor, I respect the dignity of all life, the spirit, all people, and the value of marriage and relationships. I have received training in how to integrate and evaluate the Christian client's religious teachings, values, and faith and spiritual development into their mental health goals. I employ religious and spiritual assessments to understand Christian clients' use of both positive and negative religious coping and spiritual practices, which becomes important in identifying shame, blockages to faith and spiritual development, and understanding faith issues that may occur when faced with tragic life events.

Resident in Counseling
300 N Washington St #102, Falls Church, Virginia 22046
As a Christian counselor, I hold to the truth that God is the real authority in counseling, that the gospel is essential and counseling apart from God is futile. I also believe that every person is valuable and have inherent worth and dignity because each of us have been created in the image of God. I have been trained to integrate the christian faith and counseling/psychology. I have also received training in biblical counseling and am well suited to work with you on a variety of faith issues that can occur when you are feeling overwhelmed, distant from God or faced with tragic life issues that impacts your view of God, your circumstance(s) or other people.
Dr. Beverly Wright, (M.Div., M.Th.)
Licensed Clinical Christian Counselor
1629 K Street, N.W., Suite 300, Washington, District of Columbia 20006
Like most counselors, I recognize personal problems can come about because of physiology, social-environmental influences, and psychological pressures. As a Christian counselor, I am not limited to psychological techniques or to my own human efforts and wisdom. I believe God is the real authority in counseling and He gives us the resources to change. I believe that counseling without Our Creator is operating in vanity and ineffective. My counseling goal is to advocate forgiveness from the past, strength and comfort for the present, and hope for the future. I am sensitive to the many dilemmas we face, and I am trained to identify and assist in navigating through the process of healing.
