As a Christian, I believe it is impossible to fully understand human beings without understanding the Creator in whose image they are made. God has revealed so much about himself, about the way humans were created to operate, about effective and loving relationships between individuals and in the family. Among the riches of the Bible are its instruction in healthy, happy, godly living. In addition, we have the promise of the Holy Spirit actually working within us, providing great hope for transformation. Although some secular psychology has been antithetical to Christian beliefs, I use sound counseling techniques to resolve emotional and relational distress in a clearly Biblical way.

As Christians, we are not immune to human pain and suffering. We read that “it was for freedom that Christ set us free” (Galatians 5:1, NASB), but sometimes we feel like slaves of anxiety, depression, relationship problems, or something else. So what does freedom look like for you? I invite you to begin a Christian Counseling journey, where your faith intersects with the tools of psychology in compassionate, judgment-free sessions. I learned to integrate Christian faith and psychology in my graduate training. Prior to graduate school, I worked for six years as a discipleship counselor for women in a local Christian ministry. Please contact me for more information.

For individuals: I firmly believe that within each of us, lies the answers to the questions we ask. Utilizing a Biblical perspective, I will partner with you to discover the person you see yourself becoming. You will be met with compassion and understanding, as we begin the rebuilding process. For couples: After 18 years of being married, I respect how difficult it may seem to talk things through; however, the possibility of walking away with healing in your marriage is well within your reach. With a Christian and hope-focused approach, you & your spouse can begin Living Anew.
