Christian counseling can address issues of faith, the challenges of staying on the religious path, and questions about the meaning and purpose of one’s life. This form of counseling also helps clients address problems at the intersection of Christian doctrine and the client’s individual goals and life challenges. For Christian people struggling with mental health or relationship issues, Christian counseling helps to find solutions to the problems in the context of Christianity. At Lepage Associates, our Christian counselors help individuals, families, and couples solve their problems, whatever those may be, with a combination empirically-validated therapy targeted toward their presenting problem,....

Religion and psychology have much in common, but this is where they part: Religion seeks to convince you how to live. Psychology seeks to help you live more autonomously. I do not see how this gap can be bridged, although in my couples therapy I use an almost religious model in that the more one understands and honors one's partners needs, it frees the partner from anxiety and he or she can therefore more easily meet the other's needs.
