I believe in Jesus Christ as my personal Lord & Savior; I believe in His forgiveness of my sins for my salvation. The Bible is my ultimate authority & the lens through which I view pain & struggles, as well as healing, reconciliation & restoration. I offer my graduate education in Christian Counseling as well as my experience integrating theology & psychology to clients who desire to incorporate their faith into therapy. If clients desire, I use prayer & Scripture in counseling sessions. Incorporating one's personal faith into therapy greatly increases the healing & change one can experience from counseling because we are actively inviting the Lord's presence into the counseling setting!

Religion and psychology have much in common, but this is where they part: Religion seeks to convince you how to live. Psychology seeks to help you live more autonomously. I do not see how this gap can be bridged, although in my couples therapy I use an almost religious model in that the more one understands and honors one's partners needs, it frees the partner from anxiety and he or she can therefore more easily meet the other's needs.
