My definition of Christian Counseling is more about the counselor than the client. The way I respond to and care for my clients and the insights I give them are the same, whether they are an athiest or a pastor (I love working with both groups, and everyone in between). The difference is that I'm going to point the pastor to the Scripture that backs up what I just said. It is my aim to always be prepared to back up my statements, actions, and theories with what the Bible says, whether anyone around me notices or not. I rely on God's direction with clients and give Him the credit for any success "I" have had with them.

On staff we have a therapist trained with extensive experience working with cultural and religious issues, especially within the Orthodox Jewish community. Her work with deeply religious people extends to other religions including Christianity. She helps people keep their spiritual and religious integrity in the face of dealing with other who do not support and understand their way of life.

While most Christian Counselors pride themselves on how many Scriptural passages they can recite and how many links they can make from the Bible to psychological disorders, the Christian-centric work of Grey Matters International, Inc.is grounded in one principle: truth. For us, the work is more about truth and transparency of Christ's message and working on the natural laws of accountability and decision making that evolve from that. If one honors God's natural laws of reaping and sowing around the decisions one makes, one is indeed living Scripture to its fullest. All of our therapists honor and respect spiritual and religious values, principles and beliefs as part of the whole person and relevant to a client's treatment. Whether Christian, Jewish Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist or of another faith, our therapists help clients integrate their beliefs into their mental well being.

Being a Christian certainly does not keep us from experiencing hard times, emotional struggles, illnesses, or relationship pain. My goal is to help you navigate whatever challenges you may be experiencing, either individually or as a couple, in a way that strengthens your faith and reminds you of the purpose God has for your life. While it can be incredibly hard to walk as a Christian in the world today, it is my belief that God will make a way.
