Matthew Drumm, MA, LPC-Intern
Professional Licensed Counselor-Intern, supervised by Heather Cawthon LPC-Supervisor
My whole orientation towards counseling is from a Christ centered perspective. I follow and believe in the original Servant Leader, my lord Jesus. He provides us parables and sermons and examples after examples. He told us to use them. I will do just that. If you're having a specific challenge or deal breaking, life defining period of life in which God is the crux, I urge you to call and experience the revelation and healing that is possible through rejuvenated faith and deeper understanding. I will walk with you; we can find and rely on the Holy Spirit to see you through. Let's go!

As a believer and Ordained Minister of The Gospel I offer compassionate, biblical, non judgemental help to all of my clients. Offering a safe place for you to share your hurts, stuggles, fears and to be heard. Being a Christian does not mean that we will be exempt of life's trials or hardships, but with God we can live a victorious and peace filled life regardless of our situations. God alone is our healer and I honor Him as the one who truly heals. My desire is to be the vessel through which His healing, understanding, compassion and hope are imparted to you.

Although I offer Christian Counseling, my clients are often initiating the request. My Christian counseling is based on solid psychological ethics integrated with biblical principles. When a person seeks Christian counseling from my practice, I always want to make sure they understand that Scriptures will have authority and bible principles will be the guide. I focus on providing a safe environment, working toward building a trusting rapport while offering sound biblical counseling. In session prayer, journaling and homework are a part of therapy.

I opened my practiced out of obedience to Him. I have a strong faith base. I cannot do this work without it and I cannot be helpful to my clients without my Christianity. I pray every day God lead the women to me he asks me to serve. Women; hurting who are grieving, have gone thru trauma or need a Christian companion while they are trying to find their way. I believe as women of Faith we each bring fruit to the table. I have my own weaknesses like any other Christian, but I pray every day He fortify me and He lead me. I am just a humble servant trying to carry out His will for me. 2 Corinthians 1:4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others.

While most Christian Counselors pride themselves on how many Scriptural passages they can recite and how many links they can make from the Bible to psychological disorders, the Christian-centric work of Grey Matters International, Inc.is grounded in one principle: truth. For us, the work is more about truth and transparency of Christ's message and working on the natural laws of accountability and decision making that evolves from that. If one honors God's natural laws of reaping and sowing around the decisions one makes, one is indeed living Scripture to its fullest. We prepare the brain to better maximize the spiritual realities of Christ's words. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

Christians are unique because they are given a new nature upon conversion, it is said that they are "born again." A Christian is now able to participate in the Divine Nature, with Christ. It is helpful for the Christian to learn the difference between the "old self" and the "new self" that we have in Christ. As the Christian learns to increasingly dwell in the new self, learning to rest in Christ's work and ability, they are able to experience a new peace and freedom. This freedom will present as the fruit of the Spirit, and is a free gift given of Christ resultant of his sacrifice and resurrection.
