Faith is such a huge part of a person and often times people feel like they are asked to divorce their spiritual health from their mental health. From my perspective this is not possible. While I am not here to replace your form of spiritual guidance, I am here to help you integrate your faith into who you are as a person. Whether it is addressing trauma's experienced as a result of people from our faith, or finding ways to more fully embrace our faith for healing, I am here to help you see how fulfilling faith can be when we allow all parts of ourselves to interact with it.

In addition to a Ph.D. in Conflict Analysis & Resolution, I hold a Masters of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. I have served as a pastor for 10 years. Later, I went on to develop the "Reconciliation Model of Peacemaking" for my doctoral dissertation. Each stage of the model, which correlates to modern peacemaking practice, finds its roots in Biblical theology. I integrate best practices and a Biblical perspective to help couples reduce conflict, rebuild their emotional bond, and experience peace.

I have a background in ministry and missions with students in the United States, with government and diplomatic leaders in Washington, D.C and overseas in Europe. Our emotional and spiritual lives are closely connected and by focusing on both a deeper and fuller healing is possible. Our God is a relational God who is near to the brokenhearted and full of compassion. I seek to integrate His love and compassionate connection along with my own into my psychotherapy.
