I attended a graduate school of psychology (Rosemead Graduate School within Biola University) with a Christian world view for the express purpose of providing my clients the very best therapy within a distinctively Christian world view. This passion has never faded. I am so very fortunate to be able to work with people in a way that strengthens their faith, while providing practical tools for living. God is our resource and as such, our relationship with Him is constantly brought into the counseling process. Sometimes people feel so bad for so long that they begin to doubt that God is still real or at least in the game with them. Emotional healing restores our trust and closeness to Him.

Christian counseling acknowledges that all healing ultimately comes from God. My faith is rooted in the biblical record which reveals God's heart of love and compassion. The story of the Bible reveals that, at great cost to Himself, God moved toward the hurting, the outcast, the suffering and marginalized. This is where He does a most beautiful work. Rather than moving away, God's son, the Lord Jesus moved toward us to take up our grief and to carry our sorrows so that in him we could be reconciled, redeemed, and restored in a loving relationship with the Father. You do not need to share my Christian beliefs. I will deeply honor wherever you are in your spiritual journey.

I believe psychology and faith work together to help a person have a healthier life and a closer relationship with God. I have noticed some counselors view Christianity with suspicion. I have also noticed some Christians feel the same way about psychology. I do not share these beliefs. My Christian faith is a very important part of who I am in all aspects of my life. I don't impose my beliefs on anyone and work with people from all faiths. I also work with those with no religious or spiritual system. If you are a Christian, we can include that in sessions. I am also glad to work with you if you have experienced spiritual abuse, including shaming, and help you to let go of resentment.

I conduct Christian counseling based on identity in Christ. Identity is based on knowing who we are, which means we accept that we are limited. Limited especially in that we cannot stop God from loving us beyond our wildest dreams. Personality changes over time, neuro-pathways change and grow. We go through all kinds of traumas, abuses, and are deprived of our most basic needs. But since we are the manifestation of God (Love Himself) in the world, our identity in Him never changes and the cruelty of life cannot alter our existence. The purpose of God secures meaning in our lives and substantiates identity in Him. God's purpose is accomplished and He does this in Love.

As an ordained pastor and committed Christian, I help my clients grow in their faith and in their relationships to God. I believe the Bible can guide us to successful, joyful lives if we use them wisely. We work to understand and apply biblical principles in very practical ways. The goal for my clients: to succeed in life and honor God, at the same time!

While most Christian Counselors pride themselves on how many Scriptural passages they can recite and how many links they can make from the Bible to psychological disorders, the Christian-centric work of Grey Matters International, Inc.is grounded in one principle: truth. For us, the work is more about truth and transparency of Christ's message and working on the natural laws of accountability and decision making that evolves from that. If one honors God's natural laws of reaping and sowing around the decisions one makes, one is indeed living Scripture to its fullest. We prepare the brain to better maximize the spiritual realities of Christ's words. Contact email@example.com.

As a Christian counselor, all of my interventions with clients are informed by the teachings of the Bible and guided by the presence of the Holy Spirit -- even when working with non-churched folks. This does not mean that people who do not wish to discuss faith matters are forced to do so, but that as a counselor my perspective will always be influenced by the loving spirit and teachings of God. For those who would like to pray, consider scripture and matters of faith in relation to whatever they are working on, I am well prepared to guide them in this. I also enjoy working with folks who are not sure about their faith and would like to explore their questions and conflicts in safety.
