I practice Christian counselling and fully believe that the Word of God contains all that we need. I depend upon His Word and the power of the Holy Spirit within my counselling practice. I believe that true healing and freedom can only be found in surrendering to the Lord in every area of our lives. He has designed us to be in complete dependancy upon in Him and in doing so can we experience real peace and power to overcome. That being said, I do not over-spiritualize everything. I am not looking for a demon behind every problem, nor do I offer trite Sunday School answers. Simply put, the moral and philosophical framework from which I prescribe is Bible based.

My background being Roman Catholic is the approach that I do when doing spiritual counselling. Although I easily can address any religious background that the person that comes for therapy might have. At the end of the day is about listening to the client needs and in the process also having the client explain their spiritual background to address it properly.

Christian counseling combines therapeutic techniques with Christian principles and values. Our Christian therapist provides a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore their faith and its impact on their mental and emotional well-being. Christian counseling can help individuals find comfort, guidance and strength through their relationship with God. A holistic approach is used that addresses psychological, emotional, and spiritual concerns. Support, encouragement, and biblical wisdom will be provided to help individuals navigate life's challenges and find healing and growth.

As a Christian, I greatly appreciate how faith and spirituality play a role in our daily lives. Yet God still calls us to be in the world and to experience many different aspects of human life, even things we think God could fix. Making sense of the differences between what we believe God wants and what we face daily can be distressing and lead to despair and depression. Talking about these losses with someone with a similar faith can be vital as we navigate these challenges. I have extensive training in emotionally focused therapy, the gold standard in couple's therapy, which I apply in my work with couples, families, and individuals. Emotionally focused therapy closely parallels the Christian faith in how it understands human personhood and connection. I am trained through a biblical lens and comfortable including faith in the work we will do. During our sessions I take an engaged and active role in the process, focused on helping you to identify the areas where you may be stuck and working with you to make changes aligned with your goals and faith.
