All couples at one point or another experience difficulties in their relationship. Whether married, about to get married, cohabitating, lesbian, gay, etc. all couples eventually face challenges in their relationship. Infatuation and admiration subside and being vulnerable with each other feels unsafe. However, this is also where real love in the relationship can be nurtured and kept alive. I work with couples struggling in their relationship on improving communication and working to understand each other's realistic wants and needs better while restoring emotional safety in the relationship.

Sometimes two people, who care about each other, seem to not communicate. They may talk to one another, but they are not hearing what each is saying. There are misunderstandings that lead to behavior creating distance, anger hurt and guilt. Each gets so defensive that there seems to be no way to get the differences resolved, except by fighting or separation. There is a way to avoid this. It is counseling through our good offices. We provide a safe and protected environment along with proven processes to help couples resolve the issues that appear to be unresolvable.
