Communication, trust, and vulnerability are essential parts of a relationship. However, sometimes priorities and values get misaligned and couples find themselves growing apart instead of together. Our approach is realigning the relationship dynamics and restoring healthy and effective communication patterns to support vulnerable spaces and trust. In doing so, you may step into a healthy space with your partner. However, this change can only occur with vulnerability, respect, trust, and willingness to change.

The greatest issue with couples therapy is that most couples wait too long to seek it out. So instead of reconnecting a cart and horse that were in the same location, time now has them in different counties - sometimes different states! The challenge with couples right out of the gate is identifying the depth of the disconnect. Next is boundary setting as I'm a firm believer, no couple can gain a thing from fighting with each other in my office! My job is not to referee. My job is to help them identify what's broken in their relationship and then teach them how to fix it. Quite simply, this journey is about trust, communication and the willingness to make compromise. Of all the counseling I have done, couple counseling is the most satisfying. My goal in working with couples, married, dating or engaged, is always with the goal of building healthy, live-giving ways of communicating, and in helping to create a wonder a curiosity of the other person in order to appreciate and come to love them more. As a Christian, I counsel couples who want Christian-based counseling on dating or marriage, and also work with those who simply want to improve their relationship with a partner or loved one, though not necessarily with a spiritual element. I am also a Wedding Officiate, and have officiated at several weddings over the last few years.
