Do you argue, fight, and feel frustrated with your significant other? A relationship can be the most difficult and challenging area in your life . . . or it can be one of the most rewarding. Stop living your life in anger and frustration. Start living a more peaceful and rewarding life with a positive, loving relationship. You can learn why negative behaviors like "flooding" and "stonewalling" derail and destroy relationships while "active listening" and "accepting influence" can turn your relationship around. Make the investment in yourself and your relationship. You can have the life you want if you take the time and invest the energy to learn new skills. Call us today!

My work with couples depends on the needs that the couple themselves are presenting. I can provide information to educate the couple, skills training that strengthen the relationship, (communication and conflict resolution), and psychotherapy to look at deeper issues that are dramatically sabotaging efforts. My primary efforts are to create the foundation of the relationship so work can be done. This is based on the Gottman model of relationships. In couples therapy, I become the therapist for the relationship, and not for either person, and therefore my loyalty is to do what is best to strengthen the relationship.

We work with individuals who feel stuck in their relationship or have been unable to maintain a primary relationship in their life. We can help you if you are considering marriage, are in a "live-in" relationship, are in a long-distance committed relationship, or are simply dating and wanting to find a companion. We can help you identify relationship patterns that may block your ability to "connect" with others.
