Almost all couples experience difficulty with healthy assertive communication of their wants, needs and opinions. Treatment includes addressing these areas with skills training and practice so that couples are able to see an improvement in their ability to function as soon as possible. When those skills have improved it allows couples to more easily address the conflicts or problems in their relationships.

I use a direct approach to couple counseling. I use a variety of surveys to assess the strengths and weaknesses of a couples interaction. I then teach and coach them in a cognitive behavioral methodology to improve their skill set and practice of practical strategies. If they have a christian world view that they operate from, I will use christian principles with practical application to create a more loving and mutually satisfying relationship. I work to apply solid relationship principles with practical application within the context of the couple.
