Working with couples is my passion. I first seek to understand the history of the relationship problem. Then move to create positive changes in the relationship. Creating a safe place to explore the often complex issues that arises for couples is primary to creating positive change. All issues are addressed including Communication, Intimacy, Sex, Companionship, Families of Origin, Parenting and Problem Solving.

I offer Gottman Method Couples Therapy which is an evidence-based practice derived from decades of collected data with effective tools for couples to address areas of weakness and strengths within the relationship. This will entail a rigorous assessment process to determine treatment plan. I will be guiding the couples throughout the session and will be supporting couples coping tools during sessions.

As a therapist, I work primarily from an attachment perspective with individuals and couples. My training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) allows me to provide evidence-based interventions to support both individual clients and couples to create lasting change in their lives. **EFT Externship, EFT Core Skills, EFiT (Individual EFT Therapy), Applying Polyvagal to EFT In individual therapy, this type of therapy is an attachment process (the formation of safe connections) between the therapist and the client, as well as between the client and previous and current relationships; and in Couples Therapy, within and between the couple, where your relationship is my client.

Healthy relationships are extremely important to our happiness, health and well-being. In couples therapy, it is my ultimate goal to help both of you to come to a full and deep understanding of one another. Often times, couples get into disputes because of a lack of understanding of one another which can be due to time constraints, family difficulties, lack of knowledge of one another's beliefs, etc. In therapy, we will explore each person's background, beliefs and perspectives, and we will negotiate both so that they can work together in harmony. We will also look at the particular issue(s) that you have sought therapy and will work on remedying it by reestablishing an emotional connection.

Difficulties can arise in intimate relationships and can be challenging to resolve. Couple therapy can help you talk about the issues in your relationship, better understand and process feelings and emotions that might lie behind the conflict or misunderstandings and find ways to reconnect, find common ground and meet your relationship goals.
