Depression is a medical illness characterized by a sad mood, low energy, feelings of hopelessness and helplessness, and loss of pleasure or motivation. Capital Counseling treats depression using cognitive behavioral counseling and supportive psychotherapy which have been found to be very effective in helping individuals to overcome this debilitating condition. We also use group therapy which is helpful in overcoming the social isolation many people with depression experience.
