Feeling depressed from time to time is part of the human experience. However, medical depression which is chronic and/or acute can be debilitating and painful. Depression is a complex issue with no one clear contributing factor. As a therapist, I work with individuals to determine what factors contribute to each individual’s feelings of depression. I then help clients identify existing strengths and skills they can use to increase a sense of well-being. In addition, I teach new skills to further empower individuals in managing their mood.
