Many people come to Grace Wellness Center because they are not experiencing the freedom they would like. They are burdened by past hurts, unable to resolve or forgive or sometimes are depressed and don't even know why. At Grace Wellness Center we offer Christian counseling for people with depression and help them find freedom in Christ. God desires for us to have abundant life (John 10:10) and provides the means to do so. Depression will affect 1 in 10 people during their lifetime. Some depression is life circumstance related and some can be chronic and long lasting. Cognitive Therapy is very successful in treating depression. Being well versed in this therapy, I can teach people to use the tools to mitigate symptoms of depression and watch for early warning signs of a re-occurring type of depression.

Depression affects many individuals, and often, individuals are not aware that depression is causing them to feel bad and they may struggle to understand what is happening to cause them to feel sad, to not want to get out of bed, to lose interests in things they once enjoyed, or to withdraw from family and friends and the people they love the most. For some, thoughts of harming themselves or even ending their life seems like the only solutions to the misery and agony they experience.
