Everyone gets depressed at times. But when it affects you day in and day out, interferring with your eating, sleeping, work and relationships, you may need someone to talk to professionally. Someone with training and experience and who is understanding and empathetic. Through cognitive behavioral, person centered, and solution focused therapy one can learn to feel good and be happy, setting positive goals and completing journal exercises to help you see negative patterns and gaining solutions to maintaining a positive attitude and outlook. If depression continues for a long period of time, a medication mangagement consult along with talk therapy may be necessary.
