The relief from depression can be achieved using Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. These type of therapies help you to change the way you view things and change your negative thinking that is impacting your depression. DBT also works to help you understand why you feel the way you do any to work on the cause of your feelings.

Most people come to therapy for depression, and this is usually after a loss. We look to see what that loss might have been and with your courage and my compassion, we do the grief work that is needed. Other people have suffered from "over control." That is, they have adopted unrealistic standards of self-control and perfectionism and find it impossible to fully embrace themselves. We work to help them with this task. Still others have depression as anger turned inwards. They find that when they are finally able to get in touch with their walled-off anger, they are able to feel less depressed.
