Feeling hopeless and alone is an awful place to be. When you're depressed you don't feel like doing anything or talking to anyone. You know things need to change, yet you can't find the energy. Most of us go through periods of depression for all sorts of reasons. For some, the depression doesn't pass and help is needed to lift the sad feelings. Therapy can give you the tools and support needed to overcome depression.

Depression is common in our culture. The two basic approaches I use are to identify the source and go back with the client to help heal the wounds that may have fostered the depression and, if warranted, to seek medication to lessen the symptoms. Body work can be very helpful in treating depress--identifying where it may be located and finding ways to release the cellular memory.

Depression can take many forms and have many causes. together, we will seek to understand what may be happening clinically, medically and situationally so that we can find solutions for coping and change.. I will work in consultation with your doctor as needed and appropriate to optimize results and to coordinate your care if medication is a necessary component to the treatment plan
